How important is your Maui-based community as you pursue your surfing career?
How important is your Maui-based community as you pursue your surfing career?
We tend to focus and prioritize our goals around the ocean and our jobs. We love to take advantage of good
weather, good waves, and good fun. That makes for such a great community; we all kind of have the same morals
and intentions, and it's a really beautiful thing.

I would say just take more risks and say yes to more things. Even though it might be scary or sound scary,
just take the risk because that is where you develop and learn who you are.

What motivates you to be better?
What motivates you to be better?
The most inspirational thing that motivates me and pushes me to be better is just going to the beach and watching
the waves, the ocean, and people surfing. I could just sit down at the beach and watch it for hours. You can learn
so much by watching how people use the waves and time. I think nature is our greatest teacher.

It's just dreamy. I feel so comfortable and confident, and I'm always excited to put on my bathing suit because it
makes me feel very secure and they're cute at the same time, like you're being hugged and snatched in all of the
right places. I love how secure I feel when I'm surfing or lounging on the beach.

I am an avid shell hunter. You would think that I would dream about surfing and all of that, but I dream about finding
shells. When I find a good shell, oh boy, there is nothing like it.
